Form Analytics

Keep track of every form submitted to your website. Form analytics allow you to monitor the volume of form submissions coming into your business and provide important information about the customers who are reaching out to you every day.

Getting Started

Form tracking relies on CallRail’s dynamic number insertion script to report your data back to CallRail. Before getting started with form tracking, you’ll need to:

Form Analytics

You can access each of your form submissions from your forms dashboard. Here, you'll gain an overview of your form submission volume and find links to print or export your form activity. 

  1. Click Activity at the top of the page.


  2. Select Form Submissions from within the Forms list.


  3. At the top of the page, your graph displays your form submission volume for the selected date range.


  4. Beneath the graph is your form submission log that includes details about each customer who submitted a form. This includes the landing page, campaign, and keywords associated with your form submissions.


  5. Click the Export button on the right side of the screen to print or export your form submission report as a CSV file.

  • Choose PDF to download a PDF copy of your report with current filters and grouping applied. 
  • Choose CSV to download a CSV file of your report with the current filters and grouping applied
  • Choose Print to send a copy of the report to your printer.

Form Submissions in the Timeline

The caller timeline features your form submissions, text conversations, and phone interactions in one cohesive place. Inside the timeline, you can see the contents of any form submitted to your site alongside any calls the customer has made to your business. 

  1. Choose the company whose forms you’d like to view.


  2. Click Activity at the top of the page.


  3. Select Form Submissions from within the Forms list.


  4. Click the Timeline Icon to be taken to the customer's full timeline featuring form submissions, calls, and text conversations.


  5. Form submissions will appear in context with your full call history.


  6. In your form timeline, you may see Form Submission information that includes additional form fields. CallRail keeps these form fields separate from the submission only in cases we don't detect a name, email address, or phone number. This keeps information like searches and inventory lookups from interfering with qualifying form data.


  7. Within your Form Submission timeline, you can qualify, add a value, apply tags, or add notes to your form submission, directly from the timeline view. Your changes will be saved automatically each time you update these fields.


Score Forms as Qualified Leads

Score leads from form submissions as qualified leads from your form activity dashboard, Lead Center, or individual customer timelines.

  1. Click Activity at the top of the page. 


  2. Select Form Submissions under the Forms. 


  3. Find the Qualified column on your activity log, and press the icon. 


  4. Select the thumbs up icon to score the form submission as a qualified lead, or click the crossed out thumb to indicate the form submission was not a lead.


  5. You can also score form submissions in Lead Center and individual customer timelines in the Qualified section.
