Getting Started

Google Analytics gives you insight into how your visitors find and interact with your website. CallRail integrates with your existing Google Analytics account by sending your call, text, and form submission data to goals you’ve created in Google Analytics.

 

Integrating with Google Analytics

CallRail’s integration with Google Analytics is company-dependent in your account. Follow the instructions below for each company you’d like to integrate with Google Analytics.

  1. Choose the company you’d like to integrate with Google Analytics.

  2. Click Settings at the top of the page.

  3. Select Google Analytics from the list of integrations.

  4. Enter your website’s URL, then click Create. CallRail will attempt to find your Google Analytics ID and automatically input your profile type. If we’re unable to automatically detect this information on your website, or if you’d like to point to a different Google Analytics account, you can manually enter your Google Analytics ID and select your profile type.

Call Goals

After you activate your integration in CallRail, you’ll want to add your goals to Google Analytics. This is where we report your data to Google Analytics. The goal setup you use depends on the type of interaction you'd like to track:

- Set up a call goal in Google Analytics

- Set up a text goal in Google Analytics

- Set up a form goal in Google Analytics

Disabling Google Analytics Integration

Disabling a company's integration with Google Analytics will prevent your call data from appearing being sent to your Analytics goals. We'll keep your Google Analytics credentials saved in case you'd like to re-activate your integration in the future.

  1. Choose the company whose integration you'd like to disable.

  2. Click Settings at the top of the page.

  3. Select Google Analytics from the list of integrations.

  4. Select Disable Integration on the right side of the page.

  5. Click Disable to turn off your Google Analytics integration.

FAQs

Can I integrate a company with more than one Google Analytics account?

Each company in your account only sends call, form, and text message data to a single Google Analytics account. We recommend creating a company for each Google Analytics account you’d like to integrate with, and creating tracking numbers or forms within those companies for each Analytics account you’d like to integrate with.
