HipChat Integration

HipChat’s platform allows you to easily communicate with the rest of your team through group and direct messages. CallRail’s integration with HipChat makes it possible to receive alerts within the HipChat room of your choice when a call, text, or form submission is received by your tracking numbers.

Getting Started

To send data to HipChat from CallRail, you’ll need:

  • Your HipChat API key, which is available to any HipChat group administrator.
  • An active room in HipChat where you’d like notifications to appear.

Integrating with HipChat

CallRail’s integration with HipChat is company-dependent in your account. Follow the instructions below for each company you’d like to integrate with HipChat.

  1. Click Settings at the top of the page.


  2. Choose the company you’d like to integrate with HipChat.


  3. Select All Integrations from the Integrations menu on the left.


  4. Choose HipChat from the list of available integrations.


  5. Enter the API key from your HipChat API settings.

  6. Enter the HipChat room where you’d like to receive notifications.

  7. Click Save to activate your integration.


Disabling HipChat Integration

Disabling a company's integration with HipChat will prevent your call notifications from appearing in your HipChat rooms. We'll keep your HipChat credentials saved in case you'd like to re-activate your integration in the future.

  1. Click Settings at the top of the page.


  2. Choose the company whose integration you'd like to disable.


  3. Select All Integrations from the Integrations menu on the left.


  4. Choose HipChat from the list of integrations.


  5. Select Disable Integration on the right side of the page.


  6. Click Disable to turn off your integration.
