Slack Integration (Legacy)

Slack is a team communication tool that allows you to publicly and privately chat with your teammates, share files, and receive notifications in different channels. CallRail’s integration with Slack makes it possible to receive alerts in Slack when calls, text messages, and form submissions are received by your tracking numbers.

Getting Started

To send data to Slack from CallRail, you’ll need your incoming webhook URL from Slack and an active room in Slack where you’d like for notifications to appear.

This version of our Slack integration is deprecated. If you don't already have a Slack integration set up with CallRail, use this documentation instead to access our latest Slack integration.

Choosing a Slack Channel

  1. Navigate to your Slack integration settings by going to the URL [YourTeamName].slack.com/apps/build/custom-integration.

  2. Under DIY Integrations & Customizations, select Incoming Webhooks.

  3. Choose or create a Slack channel to receive the inbound notifications. Then, select Add Incoming Webooks Integration.

  4. Copy the webhook URL on the next page. You’ll paste the webhook URL in CallRail in the next set of instructions to set up your integration.

Integrating with Slack

CallRail’s integration with Slack is company-dependent in your account. Follow the instructions below for each company you’d like to integrate with Slack.

  1. Click the  Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

  2. Choose the company you’d like to integrate with Slack.

  3. Click Integrations at the top of the page.

  4. Choose Slack from the list of integrations.

  5. Enter the Slack webhook URL you copied from the first set of instructions.

  6. Click Save to activate your integration.

Disabling Slack Integration

Disabling a company's integration with Slack will prevent your call notifications from appearing in your Slack rooms. We'll keep your Slack credentials saved in case you'd like to reactivate your integration in the future.

  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

  2. Choose the company where you'd like to disable the integration.

  3. Click Integrations at the top of the page.

  4. Choose Slack from the list of integrations.

  5. Click Disable Integration on the right side of the page.
