Bing Ads Integration

CallRail makes it possible to track calls and forms as conversions in Bing Ads. Once your integration with Bing is active, we’ll automatically report your Bing PPC calls and form fills to Bing Ads as conversions.

Getting Started

Visit our pricing page for plan information on our Bing Ads integration. CallRail’s integration with Bing Ads requires:

    • The JavaScript snippet installed on your website or landing page you're tracking
    • Keyword-level tracking (this is only a requirement if you'd like your calls to report as conversions)
  • Auto-tagging enabled within your Bing Ads account

Important note: When you activate your Bing Ads integration, it takes two hours for forms to start reporting as conversions. Once your forms start sending, there can be up to a five-hour delay before you'll see your conversions appear on your Bing Ads account dashboard.

Enable Microsoft Click ID Auto-Tagging for Keyword Tracking

Auto-tagging in Bing Ads adds a unique click ID to your landing page URLs so when a customer navigates to your page via one of your paid ads, you can accurately track their source and other UTM parameters. Follow these steps in your Bing Ads account to enable auto-tagging at the account level, so that your ads will automatically be tagged for conversion tracking.

Bing Ads instructions for auto-tagging

  1. Click the gear icon and select Accounts & Billing.

  2. If you have multiple accounts, select an account from the drop-down list at the top of the page.

  3. On the Accounts tab, click the edit (pencil) icon.

  4. Next to Auto-tagging, select Add UTM tags to my landing page URLs.

  5. Choose to either replace all existing tags or instead keep the tags you already have and have Bing Ads add any additional tags that are missing. The first option will remove any UTM tags you already have and add the UTM tags used for auto-tagging. The second option will include the auto-tagging tags to your existing tags.

  6. Click Save to apply your changes to your account.

Integrating with Bing Ads

We recommend signing into the email account associated with the Bing Ads account you'd like to use first before setting up the CallRail integration to ensure the correct account is linked.

Follow the instructions below for each company you’d like to integrate with Bing Ads.

  1. Choose the company you’d like to integrate with Bing Ads.

  2. Click Settings at the top of the page.

  3. Select Bing Ads from the list of Integrations.

  4. Sign into the Bing Ads account you'd like to use and click Authorize. This will redirect you to Bing, where you will be asked to authorize CallRail to send data to your Bing Ads account. Choose Yes to authorize CallRail’s access.

  5. Allowing CallRail access to your Bing Ads customer account will move your integration into a "pending" state. Select the company in your customer account you’d like to use for this integration to take the integration out of pending.

  6. Click Activate. This creates your conversions in Bing Ads and allows CallRail to report your new, incoming calls and/or forms as conversions. After this step, you should see "Phone Call" and "Form Capture" conversions in Bing Ads.

Disabling Bing Ads Integration

Disabling a company's integration will prevent conversions from reporting to Bing Ads. We'll keep your credentials saved in case you'd like to re-activate your integration in the future.

  1. Choose the company whose integration you'd like to disable.

  2. Click Settings at the top of the page.

  3. Select Bing Ads from the list of Integrations.

  4. Select Disable Integration on the right side of the page.

  5. Click Disable in the pop-up window to turn off your Bing Ads integration.
