Any way to retrieve GCLIDs from call rail dashboard?
I'm wondering if it's possible to retrieve GCLIDs or other identifiers from call rail dashboard. I'd like to be able to listen to calls in the dashboard and then find the calls that are junk and upload conversion adjustments to indicate they are low value, however this requires a gclid associated with the conversion. I looked through the call details screen, but I don't see the full URL of the click or a way to get that identifier that's associated with the call. Am I missing something?

After taking a look at your account, I was able to see the gclid for calls in the caller's timeline. Here is a screenshot (the details are redacted since this is a public post).
While you cannot see the gclid without clicking into the caller's timeline, you can see the Landing Page that corresponds with the ads you have running by clicking Edit Columns on the dashboard.
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
Hey Hunter. Thank you for your question! You should be able to see gclids in your CallRail dashboard. If you are currently not, I would advise checking to see if auto-tagging is enabled in your Google Ads account. You might already know how to do this, but just in case, here are the steps to set this up:
You can use this Google support article to test if Auto-Tagging is firing.
If you already have auto tagging enabled, there might be another issue at hand. Let me know, and I'll take another look!
Auto tagging is enabled. Any chance you could upload a screenshot of where the gclid for the call is on the dashboard?
Hey Robin, thank you for the example. I see that the gclids are coming through for website pool numbers from Google Ads, but they do not appear to be coming through mobile call extension calls (which comprises the bulk of the accounts conversions) and also not from location extension calls. Is there any way to pass the gclids through as part of these conversions as well?
Great question!
If you'd like to get gclids for your extension numbers, I advise setting up the Google Ads Call Details Forwarding integration. I've linked the article to setting this up here. This will ensure gclids pass for all of your Google extension numbers and not just your mobile extension and website pool numbers.
If you do decide to set this up, I'd like to reiterate we strongly recommend disabling the mobile click-to-call integration before proceeding with Google call details forwarding setup. Failure to do so will likely result in duplicate conversions.
I hope this is helpful!
I have implemented this suggestion and while I have noticed that now I am seeing keyword and campaign data in the call rail dashboard from the mobile click to call extension and the location extension, I am still not seeing gclids. Any suggestions?

Hey Hunter. It looks like the gclids are available once the calls are exported. Are you seeing the gclids for these calls when you go to export the data to upload for adjustments?
Hey Robin, they are not available through the UI, like the calls from the website pool are. This is what I see in the UI for this call.
I can do a spreadsheet export and infer that since the timestamps and dates matchup this gclid in the spreadsheet is likely this call, but there is no phone number or anything to confirm and this is a very cumbersome process.
I definitely understand how that can be cumbersome. Unfortunately, for these calls, the gclid does not show in the UI. Only in the export. I do apologize for the inconvenience this causes you with your workflow. Let me know if you have any further questions!
Hey there, revisiting this post. I am now having several calls not appear in exports either. For instance this one is not showing in the exports. I have very few calls from location extensions but they are not showing campaign data or gclids
On the call extensions, I am only getting about half of the calls with campaign data.
Any suggestions as to why this may be happening?
Looking a little deeper into this, the call screenshot above was also NOT reported back to Google Ads as a conversion despite being a 5:00 first-time phone call, call link:
This should meet the integration triggers criteria and should have been reported as a conversion.

Reviewing further, I am seeing similar gaps in conversion reporting for other calls that don't have campaign data populated. I don't see anything unique about the clicks, many of them are mobile clicks to call to the same number, some of which are captured, some of which are not.
Good morning Hunter!
