Looker Studio Community Connector Error

Setting up the looker integration with CallRail but I get an error as soon as the dashboard is generated

There was an error caused by the community connector. Please report the issue to the provider of this community connector if this issue persists.

Has anyone had to open a ticket with CallRail to get this resolved?

  • Hello Emily. This error is fairly vague. It basically indicates that there’s a strong possibility that something went awry with the setup of Looker Studio on the Google side, our API noticed it, and will not populate data in Looker Studio until it’s corrected. Referring to the config of each connector is a great place to start, but there’s no guarantee that the reason for this error is located within the Edit Connection portion of the appropriate connector.

    The challenge may be due to the setup of a specific metric used in your reports. Double-check the Aggregation of that metric (i.e. count, count distinct, sum, etc.) and make sure the data types match. Check if there are any filters that apply to a particular metric that affect how data populates in your report.
