Need to know what plan you have? If you're an administrator on your CallRail account, you can use these instructions to see which plan your account is currently using.
- Click the Account icon in the top left to open the My Account panel, then click Account Settings.
- Choose Billing from the Manage header on the left.
- From here, you can view the plan(s) and add-ons you're currently subscribed to for this account.
- Click the Account icon in the top left to open the My Account panel, then click Account Settings.

The CallRail JavaScript is what drives the magic behind the scenes for online call tracking. When a visitor comes to your website, this simple-to-install code is responsible for assigning and swapping your business number with a tracking number, gathering valuable session information for the unique visitor, and tying all the visitor data to the phone call.
Follow these steps to install CallRail on your website in minutes!
- Click on Settings on the left navigation bar.
- Choose the company where you'd like to install the JavaScript code.
- Click Integrations at the top of the page.
- Choose JavaScript Snippet from the list of integrations.
- Choose your installation method, and follow additional instructions based on the method chosen (Wordpress, Google Tag Manager, Wix, or Manual).
- For manual installation, copy the JavaScript provided.
- Paste your script into every page of your website before the closing body tag (</body>).
Congratulations, you have successfully installed the CallRail JavaScript on your website! Visitors on your website will now be assigned a tracking number that gives you the ability to actively track the specific marketing source and visitor session data (requires a website pool) that drove the engagement with your business.

CallRail allows you to record inbound and outbound phone calls.
To turn on inbound call recording you can:
- Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.
- Choose the company where you’d like to use call recording.
- Click the Pencil icon for the tracking number you’d like to update to go to its main configuration page.
- On the next screen, click the Pencil icon in the upper-right of the Number Options menu.
- Under Number, click the checkbox to enable call recording and to play a greeting to the caller. You can type in or upload a greeting to notify the caller that their call will be recorded if your state or local laws for your area require the caller to be notified.
To turn on outbound call recording you can:- Click the Account icon in the top left, then choose Account Settings.
- Choose Details from the Account header on the left.
- Click the checkbox to Allow my team to record outbound calls.
- Select Update Account to save your changes.
- Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

CallRail offers a variety of notification settings to best suit the needs of your business. To receive email and desktop notifications for calls and texts your business receives you can:
- Click the Account icon in the top left to open the My Account panel, then click Notifications.
- Select Calls & Texts from the Notifications header in the left menu.
- Click Create Notification.
- Choose the company we should include in your notification, the user who should receive this notification, and whether you'd like to be notified of inbound calls and/or text messages.
- Add filters to your notification emails to get details about specific types of calls you receive. You can also set an optional filter to only receive notifications for customers who have a certain Qualified Status. This step only applies to call notifications.
- Select the type of notification you'd like to receive and click Save when finished.

- Click the Account icon in the top left to open the My Account panel, then click Notifications.
