Feedback on our latest alpha features

2023 was the inaugural year of CallRail Labs! We released 9 experimental alpha features designed to be available for a limited time. This is so we can rotate in new features for you to try to help us quickly learn what is (and isn't) valuable to you and how you do business.

As a reminder, you have access to these alpha features with Premium Conversation Intelligence via the purple "Alpha" tab on any caller's timeline.

As we look toward what to experiment with next in the new year, we want to hear your feedback on our current 5 alpha features:

  • Lead Qualification (determines the likelihood of converting the caller into a lead)
  • Sale Made (detects a successful sale and its associated value)
  • Follow-up email (generates an email template based on details of the call)
  • Call Coaching (provides tailored feedback for your conversation)
  • Caller Details (Captures caller's personal details that might be helpful for future calls)

Let us know what you think of these features or if you have ideas or requests for new ones - they just might make it into the Lab!

  • My favorite part about Alpha labs is the fact that CallRail is trying to be on the cutting edge. As businesses we are trying to be on the cutting edge in each of our respective industries, and we need our tech stack to support us rather than hinder us. CallRail's commitment to being on top of tech allows us to do what we do best with our business.

Lead Qual: Redundant and would just prefer the green/gray thumb work flawlessly.

Sale Made: This is my #1 loved feature. If only if only it could run automatically so that I could run conversion reports for my sales agents. At the end of the day we're selling on the phone... we need the data to support us in closing the loop of the customer's journey toward that sale. Right now we rely on our less than reliable call agents to self report which can be gamed or flawed. Bad data is worse than no data so let's get this conversion tracking automated!

Follow-Up Email: Pretty cool actually. I've seen a few things that make us unable to trust it completely though. If we could train it like it's our own GPT then that would fix the errors over time.

Call Coaching: It would be good if it accurately determined who was the seller and who was the buyer. It seems to get this wrong about as often as a coin flip would.

Caller Details: Not needed. We've already got their phone number. The rest of the details would be useful if they could trigger by our sale made conversion automation [see above ;)] and create a job in our field service platform. THAT would be cool and eliminate the need for data entry by our fat fingered call center agents.
