Forward automatically received text to another number

I want to set up a workflow where I can automatically forward all text received to a specific tracking number to another number. The same process as call forwarding.

    Thank you all for your feedback and patience. We know text forwarding has been a major request, and I'm thrilled to announce that this feature is now in an open Beta!

    This new Message Flow step allows you to receive and reply to text messages directly from your phone's native messaging app. All conversations will still be visible in your CallRail Desktop UI and mobile app.

    How to Activate Text Forwarding:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Workflow.

    2. In the "Automation" menu on the left, click Message Flows.

    3. Select Create Message Flow.

    4. From the new page, choose the Forward step.

    5. Enter the destination phone number.

    Important Beta Info:

    • This Beta is available to all customers except for HIPAA and white-label accounts.

    • Since this is a Beta, we'd love your feedback as you start using it!

  • Hello Chris and thank you for joining CallRail Community. Being able to forward text messages is a great feature request. I can see a lot of use cases for it. I've also received this request from several other clients and have put in a development feature request. Unfortunately, call forwarding works very differently than text forwarding. At this time, we are unable to support it. We are always grateful for new product ideas and the more we get, the higher priority they become. I'll add yours and perhaps we'll see this in a future update.

  • So its fowarding all texts from every call rail number to one number? we cant specifiy a work flow that works for one tracking number?

  • Hello David, You can select which numbers you want the texts to be forward from in setting up the message flow. You can have multiple text forwarding destinations by tracking number, or add multiple tracking numbers to be forwarded to one destination. Hopefully this support article on text forwarding helps answer further questions, if not please log a case to ensure your question gets answered!
