what's a best practice for google ad conversion tracking for a subdomain?

Hi we have a website pool created for our regular website. 

We'll be launching a new microsite just for google ads landing page and was wondering what would be the best practice to track the calls there. We want to separate the calls that we get from the regular website vs. our conversion site so wanted to create 2 website pool numbers but Callrail recommends just having one under one account.

Now we're considering creating a callrail phone number specifically for the new site but using Google Ad's DNI service. The risk here is that it'll forward twice and potentially add another delay. Would that delay be something very minimal and unnoticeable? Or does the community/callrail team suggest something else completely?
