SCHEDULED REPORTS MAKE CR FREEZE

Is there a way to schedule a different date when the monthly reports are sent out? I would like to choose a later date or time because it freezes up the ability to download other reports while these are generating for many hours. Can you add this feature or tell me if there is another way? Thank you
