Additional Dimensions Around Attribution
First touch is great for lead generation. The challenge is, sometimes, first touch may result in an activity from a marketing campaign that ran a year or two ago. And unfortunately, my marketing campaigns have evolved over this time and I am unable to take action on this activity. Worse, sometimes the leadership team or media agency questions the accuracy of the numbers which reduces confidence.
With that said, it would be nice to establish a measurement around my organization sales cycle. Some organizations sales cycle may be a year, others may be 3 months or less. During set up, it would be nice to be able to set that measurement in the platform and the platform provides columns for "New Source", "New Campaign", and "New Medium", etc. based on my sales cycle. You can leave the original dimensions, but having additional dimensions would make it more actionable based on my unique business needs.
