So how does this auto recording of calls work in two party consent states?

I just got an email that I will be "upgraded" to the new system and that "Call recording and transcription features will be ON by default for new tracking numbers upon migration. You can opt out at any time within the platform."

Now, I can and will opt out. But they're lucky I read these emails. I get so many of these, I know people don't read them.

How does this auto-recording of phone calls work in two party consent states? Lots of lawyers use you, and you're going to be recording and transcribing calls, and it's opt out and not opt in??

I don't think you thought this through or ran it by the lawyers.

    Hi David!

Call Tracking’s updated capabilities now include call transcripts, automation rules, and call highlights &  key terms - all of which function using recordings and transcripts. We did not change the settings for currently active tracking numbers, so if you already have these turned off, they will remain that way. When you create any new tracking number, you can opt out of recordings and transcripts as well.

Customers have the ability to make setting changes at any time based on laws that apply to their business (unless you have an international plan or a healthcare plan that supports HIPAA compliance, which are turned off by default).

Here's more information on how to adjust inbound and outbound recording settings.
