Understanding Discrepancies in your call reports between CallRail and Google Analytics

Sometimes you will notice discrepancies in your call reporting between CallRail and your Google Analytics account. This is because CallRail counts calls differently than Google Analytics does

Google Analytics reports one conversion per visitor, per goal, per day. Multiple calls from the same visitor on the same day will be reported as a single goal conversion. However, in CallRail, you will see each individual call a customer placed as separate events in the call log. Even if those calls are from different phone numbers, check if the two calls share a session in CallRail.

For example, if Customer A calls twice in one day, you will see two separate calls in your call log for that customer. However, this will only report as a single goal conversion in Google Analytics because the same customer called on the same day.
