CallRail mobile app vs. Lead Center mobile app

Want to take CallRail on the go but aren’t sure which mobile app is right for you? CallRail currently has two mobile apps available to you: the CallRail mobile app (blue icon) and the Lead Center mobile app (black icon). Aside from the icon color, there are many other differences between the two apps.

In general, the CallRail mobile app gives you the ability to review call activity and marketing data on the go. The Lead Center mobile app is an all-in-one communications tool for your business calls and texts.

Below are some specific details about the two mobile apps with their similarities in bold:

CallRail mobile app

    • View your call log with caller details.
    • The ability to add a tag or note to a call.
    • Qualify calls.
    • Listen to call recordings.
    • View form submissions.
    • Switch between accounts and companies you have access to.
    • Create notifications that push to your cell phone.

Lead Center mobile app

    • Placing outbound calls using the dialer.
    • Transfer calls to other agents.
    • View your inbox with caller details.
    • Send and receive SMS and MMS messages.
    • Listen to call recordings.
    • View form submissions.
    • Switch between accounts and companies you have access to.
    • Create notifications that push to your cell phone.

  • When will notifications not showing consistently be fixed?

And being able to refresh the conversation for new messages without having to scroll all the way to the top of the conversation? If it would do refresh itself that would be great since that is what all the other messaging apps do.

  • Hello Conor, and thank you for your question. It looks like you currently have a Tier 3 agent working with you on the notifications issue you are experiencing. I would advise reaching out to that agent for an update. They will be the best resource for this question!

  • I still do not understand which app to use for calls and texts. Both have the ability to send/receive calls and texts. When they are both installed, there seems to be issues when new calls come in.

  • Hey Jasson!

We suggest using the Lead Center mobile app for calls and texts as this will be a better experience over all when it comes to placing/answering calls and sending/receiving texts. The CallRail mobile app also has the ability to do both, but the Lead Center mobile app is a more advanced experience. We recommend use of the CallRail mobile app over the Lead Center mobile app when a customer does not want to purchase Lead Center as an add-on (so they would not have access to the mobile app).

Also, the Lead Center mobile app recently went through a pretty extensive update that you can read more about in this article

Let me know if you have any other questions, and welcome to the community!

  • Hello - When I make a call on the lead center app, there is a huge delay with connecting the call. Then, I cant hang up, and then once it does end the call, it calls the number again. IOS, iphone 13, newest version of your app. i am deleting this and going back to the call rail app.

  • Hey Jasson Farrier . I would suggest reaching out to our support team about those issues, as you definitely shouldn't be having those problems with the Lead Center mobile app. However, I am happy to hear the CallRail mobile app is working well for you.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
