Keragon is a HIPAA-supported, no-code automation platform that works with over 300 healthcare and business tools. It is a secure way to link your medical software, turning inbound calls, texts, and form submissions into secure, automated workflows across clinical and operational systems.
Keragon's integration with CallRail connects patient conversations to other systems your team already uses, such as EHRs, CRMs, scheduling tools, and internal ticketing platforms, without requiring custom code. Together, CallRail and Keragon help healthcare teams respond faster, simplify patient sign-ups, and gain a clear understanding of what’s driving their practice’s growth, while supporting HIPAA compliance.
Getting Started
To integrate with Keragon, you will need:
- A CallRail account with an active tracking number.
- A Keragon account. This integration is available with any plan tier.
How the integration works
Keragon defines integration elements by the following categories:
- Triggers: Use events captured in CallRail, such as inbound phone calls, SMS conversations, and form submissions, to automatically kick off next steps the moment a patient reaches out.
- Actions: Create or update patient leads, synchronize contact or conversation data with EHRs or CRMs, and notify staff in real time so follow-up occurs quickly and consistently.
Within Karagon, CallRail has one generic trigger and five actions:
- Get Conversions
- Get Accounts
- Get form submissions
- Get calls
- Get companies
Using these will pull the requested data from CallRail and move it to another platform in your Keragon Workflow.
Integrating with Karagon
- Log in to Keragon, and view your Keragon Dashboard.
- Create a New Workflow or open an existing one.
- Add the CallRail App: by selecting the + icon to add a step.
- Search for CallRail and select it.
- If you are selecting it as a trigger, there will only be one option to choose from.
- If you are selecting it as an action, you will choose from the list to pull the desired data.
- Once you select CallRail, the middle screen will have an option to choose from a list of connected accounts. If you have not connected one before, you will need to select Connect new account.
- When prompted, enter your CallRail API key.
- To find your API key:
- Select the Integrations icon on the left navigation bar.
- Select API Keys from the integrations library or the Data Access header on the left.
- Select Create New API v3 Key to create a new API key (if you haven't created a key before). This key will only be shown in its entirety for 15 minutes; store this key somewhere secure.
- To find your API key:
- Once your API key has been inserted, Keragon will show the available accounts, companies, and data that can be selected. For example, if you have one account in CallRail, but two office locations as unique companies, you can select only calls that come into one of the locations.
- The next step will be different if you are using Callrail as a trigger or an action.
- If you are using CallRail as a trigger:
- Select which activity is used to prompt the Workflow. You can choose from a list of available CallRail webhooks (more information on webhooks can be found here).
- If you are using CallRail as an action:
- You will need to define what data from the trigger you want to associate with CallRail. For example, if you are adding a contact into a CRM, you can have CallRail get conversations associated with a contact’s matching name.
- If you are using CallRail as a trigger:
- Once your Workflow is set up, make sure to test all the steps involved. This will send test data across the Workflow, ensuring all connections are correct.
- Once you are satisfied with the Workflow, use the Publish button at the top of the screen to save your work.
