What the MCP server does
The CallRail MCP connector brings your CallRail data directly into LLMs (such as Claude and ChatGPT) so you can analyze performance and get answers using the AI tools you already use.
Instead of reporting “calls were up 12% this month,” Claude can say why, and suggest a specific next move for the client, like shift budget toward a campaign, fix a script gap, or follow up with a specific missed lead.

Usage of the CallRail MCP is billed the same way as usage of the CallRail API.

How to Install the CallRail MCP
The instructions for installing depend on the provider (Claude, ChatGPT, etc)
Claude.ai
The CallRail connector is available in the Claude Connector ecosystem.
- Navigate to Customize > Connectors and search for CallRail.
- Select the Official CallRail Connector.
- Choose Connect to Claude and follow the instructions to log in with your CallRail credentials and authorize access.
Once connected, the assistant has access to your CallRail data for the duration of the session, scoped to your user’s permissions.

Claude Desktop will prompt you to complete the OAuth flow on the first connection.
ChatGPT
Available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans.
- In ChatGPT, navigate to Settings > Beta features and enable Developer Mode.
- Open a new conversation and select Tools > Add MCP server.
- Enter the MCP server URL
https://mcp.callrail.com/mcp. - Follow the OAuth prompt to log in with your CallRail credentials and authorize access.
HubSpot
CallRail's MCP connector is not yet available in the HubSpot store; please follow the manual setup instructions below.

What is the URL for the CallRail MCP server?
Is the CallRail MCP officially supported?
Yes. The MCP server is an official CallRail service and is hosted by CallRail.
Does it use CallRail OAuth?
Yes. The MCP server uses CallRail OAuth for authentication. Once you connect the MCP server in your LLM client, signs in through the CallRail OAuth flow and grants access to your CallRail account.
Can you use the MCP with a HIPAA account?
Can access be limited to read-only tools?
Yes, typically through the LLM client configuration. MCP tools are annotated to indicate whether they are read-only or potentially destructive. In supported clients, administrators can deny destructive tools and allow only read-only tools. This control is generally enforced in the client, not by changing the MCP server itself.
Does the MCP inherit user permissions?
In general, MCP access follows the same permission model as the CallRail application. If a user can view a data type in the CallRail UI, that same access level is the right baseline for MCP access to that data. Required permission levels, therefore, depend on the specific object and account configuration.
For practical planning, use this rule: the MCP can access the same data the connected user can access in the CallRail UI.
Are transcripts included?
Transcript availability through the MCP follows the same entitlement rules as the CallRail application. If transcripts require Premium Conversation Intelligence in your account, that same requirement applies when accessing transcripts through the MCP.
