Clio integration

Clio is a legal practice management solution. Using CallRail's integration with Clio, you can view the calls your firm receives in your Clio Manage dashboard. This allows for deeper insights into how customers are reaching out to you and which marketing sources drive the most business to your firm.

Getting started

Our integration posts Contacts and Communication records for inbound phone calls to your Clio Manage account. This allows you to see all your inbound calls, leads, and the marketing sources associated with those leads in your Clio Manage account.

Integrating with Clio

Follow the instructions below for each company you’d like to integrate with Clio.

  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

  2. Choose the company you'd like to integrate with Clio.

  3. Click Integrations at the top of the page.

  4. Choose Clio from the list of integrations.

  5. Click Authorize on the integration's page.

  6. You'll be prompted to log into your Clio account.

  7. Once you've successfully logged in to your Clio account, the integration will be activated and will start sending data.

Seeing your data in Clio

We’ll attempt to match existing contact records in your connected Clio account by phone number. If we don't find a contact, we’ll create one.

We’ll create one Communication per inbound phone call, complete with the details of the call. That Communication will then be associated with the contact we found or created.

Deactivating the Clio integration

Deactivating a company's Clio integration will prevent CallRail from sending data to your Clio account. We'll keep your integration credentials saved in case you'd like to reactivate your integration in the future.

  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

  2. Choose the company where you'd like to deactivate the integration.

  3. Click Integrations at the top of the page.

  4. Choose Clio from the list of integrations.

  5. Select Deactivate Integration on the right side of the page.

FAQs

What data is sent to Clio?
For every inbound call, we'll send the following information:

- Source.

- Medium.

- Campaign.

- Keywords.

- Gclid.

- Answer Status.

- Referrer.

- Landing page.

- Caller timeline link.

- Call recording link.

What Clio plan do I need to use this integration?
While this integration is available on all CallRail plans, you'll need to be on a Clio Essentials plan or higher to use this integration. If you are on an EasySmart plan, you won't have access to the integration.
