JobNimbus integration

Overview

The JobNimbus integration connects CallRail with your JobNimbus account so that every call or text received through your CallRail tracking numbers automatically creates or updates a lead in JobNimbus. This means your team always has an up-to-date record of prospective customers without any manual data entry, helping home services businesses respond to new leads faster.

When Voice Assist is enabled alongside this integration, CallRail can also pull existing JobNimbus contact information in real time when a known customer calls, giving your team helpful context before they even pick up the phone.

Before You Begin

Before setting up the JobNimbus integration, make sure you have the following:

  • An active CallRail account
  • An active JobNimbus account
  • A JobNimbus API key. You can generate one by logging in to JobNimbus and navigating to Settings > API Key. For step-by-step instructions, see JobNimbus' guide to creating an API key.

Connect JobNimbus

To connect your JobNimbus account to CallRail:

  1. In CallRail, click Settings in the top navigation.
  2. Select Integrations from the left sidebar.
  3. Find JobNimbus in the list of available integrations and click Connect.
  4. Paste your JobNimbus API key into the API Key field.
  5. Click Save. CallRail will verify that your API key is valid before activating the integration.

Once connected, the integration will automatically begin creating and updating leads in JobNimbus whenever a call or text is received through any of your CallRail tracking numbers.

Data

When a call or text is received, CallRail sends the following information to JobNimbus to create or update a lead record:

  • Caller name (split into first and last name)
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Marketing source (the channel that brought the caller to you, such as Google or a specific advertising campaign)
  • Attribution details: source, medium, campaign, and landing page

Before creating a new lead, CallRail checks whether a lead with the same phone number or email address already exists in JobNimbus. If a match is found, the existing record is updated rather than a duplicate being created.

Note: JobNimbus does not currently support writing to custom fields through its API. As a result, marketing attribution details (source, medium, campaign, and landing page) are stored in the Comments field of the lead record in JobNimbus, where they remain visible to your team.

Troubleshooting

Integration shows a "Failed" status

If the JobNimbus integration shows a status of Failed, this means CallRail encountered repeated errors when attempting to sync data with JobNimbus. To resolve this:

  • Confirm your API key is still valid by logging in to JobNimbus and checking under Settings > API Key.
  • In CallRail, go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect the integration with a new or refreshed API key.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of activity trigger lead creation in JobNimbus?

Any inbound call or text received through a CallRail tracking number will trigger lead creation or update in JobNimbus. Outbound calls are not included.

Why is my marketing attribution data in the Comments field instead of a dedicated custom field?

JobNimbus’ API does not currently support creating or populating custom fields. To make sure this information is still available to your team, CallRail stores attribution details (source, medium, campaign, and landing page) in the Comments field on the lead record.

Can I connect JobNimbus alongside other CRM integrations?

If you have multiple CRM integrations active at the same time, the most recently connected integration will take priority for syncing data to Voice Assist. Lead creation in JobNimbus will still occur regardless of other active integrations.
