JobTread is a construction and project management platform built for contractors, remodelers, and home services businesses. Connecting JobTread with CallRail lets you automatically send marketing attribution data, call summaries, and lead source information from CallRail into your JobTread account. This gives you a complete picture of where your jobs are coming from, so you can make smarter decisions about your marketing spend.
The integration works at the company level in CallRail. If you manage multiple companies, you will set up the integration separately for each one.
Before You Begin
Before connecting JobTread to CallRail, make sure you have the following:
- An active JobTread account.
- A JobTread Grant Key. You can create one in JobTread under Settings > Integrations > JobTread API > Grants. Copy the key as soon as it is displayed: it will only be shown once. Grant Keys expire after 3 months of inactivity. If your integration stops syncing, you may need to generate a new key and reconnect.
Connect JobTread
Follow these steps for each company you want to integrate with JobTread.
- Select the Integrations icon on the left navigation bar.
- Select JobTread from the list of integrations.
- Choose the company where you would like to set up this integration.
- Enter your JobTread Grant Key in the field provided.
- Select Connect to authorize the integration.
Once the connection is verified, the integration will be active. CallRail will automatically create the required custom fields in your JobTread account if they do not already exist.
Deactivating the Integration
Deactivating a company's JobTread integration will stop call data from being sent to that JobTread account. Your integration credentials will be saved so you can reactivate in the future.
- Select the Integrations icon on the left navigation bar.
- Select JobTread from the list of integrations.
- Choose the company whose integration you want to deactivate.
- Select Deactivate Integration on the right side of the page.
Data
When you connect the integration, CallRail automatically creates the following custom fields in your JobTread account if they do not already exist:
On Customer Accounts:
- CallRail - Lead Source
- CallRail - Lead Medium
- CallRail - Lead Campaign
- CallRail - Lead Landing Page

For every call, text message, or form submission, CallRail will:

- If a match is found: update the contact's phone and email, and update the Customer Account's CallRail custom fields.

- Lead Source
- Lead Medium
- Lead Campaign
- Lead Landing Page
- Call Summary (includes the call date and time, and an AI-generated summary of the call when available)
The following information is recorded on the Customer Contact:
- Name (first and last)
- Phone number
- Email address
Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I seeing duplicate clients or contacts in JobTread?
When a call, text message, or form submission comes in, CallRail searches for an existing contact before creating a new one. Duplicates can occur if a contact is manually created or updated in JobTread before CallRail has finished processing the event. To avoid duplicates, allow CallRail to create or update the contact first before making any manual changes in JobTread.
Does the integration support text messages and form submissions, or only calls?
The integration supports calls, text messages, and form submissions. Each event type will create or update a Customer Account and Contact in JobTread and populate the CallRail attribution fields.
What happens if my Grant Key expires?
Grant Keys expire after 3 months of inactivity. If your integration stops syncing, generate a new Grant Key in JobTread under Settings > Integrations > JobTread API > Grants, then return to the JobTread integration page in CallRail and enter the new key.
