Marin integration

Marin allows agencies to track, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns. By tracking across web and mobile devices, Marin allows marketers to target customers across search, social, and display networks. Using CallRail's integration with Marin, you can correlate your PPC keywords with your calls, and track phone call, text message, and form conversions in Marin.

Getting started

During the setup process, you'll select CallRail as the call tracking provider in Marin. If your account is white labeled, this means your clients may see CallRail's name as a label for their call data.

In order to match individual callers with website sessions, this integration requires an active website pool with your company's JavaScript snippet installed on your website for dynamic number insertion.

Retrieve Marin directory

Before setting up your integration in CallRail, you'll first need to contact your Marin account representative. They'll work with you to generate the FTP upload directory needed for this integration. Your account rep will also provide you with a username and password for this directory, which you'll need to set up your integration in CallRail.

Deactivating Marin integration

Deactivating a company's Marin integration will prevent your conversion data from reporting to your Marin account. We'll keep your integration credentials saved in case you'd like to reactivate your integration in the future.

  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.

  2. Choose the company where you'd like deactivate the integration.

  3. Click Integrations at the top of the page

What can I track?

When Marin tracks a user, it inserts a cookie into their browser that contains a unique identifier. In order to send conversions to Marin through our integration, CallRail matches this unique identifier to a specific phone call, text message, or form submission using dynamic number insertion on your website.

Due to Marin's cookie-based tracking system, our integration works for calls, texts, and form submissions associated with one of your CallRail website pools, which is responsible for the phone numbers visitors see on your website. Please keep in mind that other tracking numbers, such as those used offline (such as on a billboard), or those used online somewhere else (such as a Google Ad extension) will not be reported as conversions in Marin.
